Cheshire Phoenix Wheelchair Basketball Club was formed in 2014 in partnership with Cheshire Phoenix Community Interest Club. We have a dedicated team of volunteers and coaches who work hard to ensure everyone has a good time and develop their skills.

Wheelchair Basketball can be played by people with and without disabilities.

We have a mixed senior league team who for the 2021-2022 season will be playing friendly games with the plan to re-enter National or Local league in 2022-2023 season.

We also have a focus on Women's development and run specific sessions to help players, coaches and volunteers to get involved.

We are partnered with University of Chester and have created a new University team this season with the Athletics Union so are looking forward to seeing the team take to the court soon.

The Junior section of our club is growing and some of our juniors play in the league with other junior league clubs and also for the North West Regional teams.

There are plenty of opportunities for everyone to be involved,

Our club welcomes players of all ages and abilities so come and have a go - we guarantee you will enjoy it. We have sports wheelchairs you can use - you just need to be fit enough to get yourself up and down the court.

New Kit

We have brand new kit that consists of a t-shirt, jacket and/or hoodie. Here is one of our members modelling the awesome hoodie. Thank you to Triple Double Hoopwear for sponsoring us and being our provider

Our Committee and club members have been getting qualified in Sudden Cardiac Arrest. This is extremely important not only in a sport but a disability sport. It has happened before and could happen in the future. By being qualified, we know exactly what to do and this quick action and knowledge could be the difference between life and death.

You can also become qualified by following this link here
