Why do you like wheelchair basketball? And why did you start playing the sport?
I love wheelchair basketball because it has helped so much with my mental health, it’s given me a reason to exercise, given me somewhere to socialise and gives me something to do, it’s so much fun and I love every minute of it.
Why did you decide to join Cheshire Phoenix Wheelchair basketball club?
I joined after leaving another club, I wasn’t treated the best and I felt at my lowest ready to give up, Cheshire Phoenix gave me a chance and welcomed me in with open arms, they relit the passion inside me and I’ve never looked back since.
Do you have a favourite wheelchair basketball player? If so, who and why?
So many to choose from Robyn Love, Sophie Carrigill, Amy Conroy, Laurie Williams but also a lot of the Netherlands women, especially Bo
Do you have a future goal for the sport such as going Elite, becoming a coach etc...?
I really want to become a level 2 coach and help coach training sessions and games as well as continuing to play as long as I can until my bendy joints give up. I am also in the middle of getting my level 2 table official license!

Do you go to college or university and if so, what do you or did you study?
Just finished a university degree at the University of Chester in Digital Photography and Radio Production graduating with a First class.

What makes you want to help the club out? And what do you enjoy most about being at the club?
I would do anything for the club, I love being kept busy and I love helping out! The club has done so much to help me that I’m giving all the love back. I love everyone there, its such a fab place to be part of.
Are you part of another sport or volunteer anywhere else?
Not sport but I do volunteer randomly at different places, I wont list because its constantly changing and adding new places.
What is your goal for your role and Cheshire Phoenix?
To help get the club as far as possible, to put all my skills, time and efforts into creating new things for the club and seeing it reach its full potential.
